A beautiful representation of the antique period

The capital of the Périgord region, Périgueux is one of 130 towns in France classified as towns of art and history. Established on the banks of the Isle river more than two thousand years ago, Périgueux has conserved many traces of its history, such as the numerous Gallo-Roman remains and the mediaeval town.

You can find a large number of green spaces scattered around the Gallo-Roman sites, on the town walls and on the banks of the canal.
