The Arch of Triumph on the Place Charles de Gaulle is one of the most famous landmarks in the capital of France besides the Eiffel tower. Beneath the Arch there is the tomb of the unknown soldier of the First World War which reminds us of the great number of dead soldiers never identified. Many ceremonies and honorific events take place there. The most important among them is the ceremony on november 11th, anniversary of the armistice between France and Germany in 1918.

The Arch is only accessible through a pedestrian underpass.

Enjoy the awesome view over Paris from the 50 m tall Arc de Triomphe and contemplate the reliefs illustrating major events of the history of France.

Every day from 10am to 10:30pm (oct. 1st - march 31st)
Every day from 10am to 11pm (april 1st - sept. 30th)
Closed on january 1st, may 1st, may 8th (forenoon), july 14th (forenoon), novembre 11th (forenoon) and decembre 25th.
