The revolutionary city

Vannes, which first saw the light of day 2,000 years ago on the Gulf of Morbihan, has safeguarded its rich medieval and Renaissance heritage to pass down to us. The town has almost intact ramparts, punctuated with fortified gates, and towers built in the 14th-15th Centuries.
