Ile de Ré

Since 1988, île de Ré is link up to the Rochelle by a tool bridge, length of 3km.
Ile de Ré suggest in spite of his small size, 30 km long and 5 km wide at the most wide point, offer an immense choice of activities and a sweet and sunny climate all year.

Named as Ré the White, or the bike kingdom, the island lay numerous caracteristical villages, (shopping, flea market) and vary landscapes which make all the charm with lot of influx of migratory birds changing of seasons : beach with white sand, marina, forest, salter marsh… without forget historical monuments start of Paleolithic and sport structure (golf, tennis)

L’Ile de Ré bunch ten villages, each with his specialty and local culture, but Saint Martin de Ré and the Vauban fortification are classed at UNESCO Patrimony.

L’île de Ré offer several specialties: oyster, salt, vins de pays, Cognac, Pineau, potatoes
